Customer Review

Unfortunately. . .
by Customer A1NNBB6B4P9I7K at November 17th, 2007
After reading all the great reviews, I purchased it, along w/ sewing books etc. Was really, really looking forward to it, and Amazon shipped it right away. I can't believe that all those people having such a wonderful time w/ their machines are wrong, but I received a lemon and just repacked it to return to Amazon. I did every single thing right, and grew up w/ industrial sewing machines, so knew that everything was threaded correctly. It wouldn't sew a single stitch, the thread came out of the needle's eye every single time. After threading and rethreading it for about an hour, I didn't trust it anymore. By that time, I felt that even if I did get it to work, I would always have problems with it so decided to return it for a refund, before getting stuck with it. The design for the thread spindle is also a bit shaky, so the thread got stuck often from its spindle. I don't really know what to say, b/c it seems if you get one that works for you, you're very lucky. If not, like me and a few of the other reviewers, it seems nothing you do will make it work. My husband just says never to trust anything manufactured in China, which is where it was put together. Will invest a few more dollars and look for something made in the USA, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, or Japan, as those seem to be the other capitols of sewing machine manufacturing.
