Customer Review
Cautiously optimistic

I will be the first to tell you that I am no seamstress. Over the years I have had several machines, the first a gift from my mother, who was convinced that if only I had a sewing machine of my own, I would learn to enjoy sewing. (I traded it to my sister for a typewriter.) Thanks Mom. My second was given to me by my in-laws after I told them that I did not sew. They also gave me a large set of dish towels after I told them I do not dry dishes. Hmmm.
I bought this machine myself about a month ago, having been seduced by beautifully choreographed quilts and the incredible array of fabrics available with which to paint. I do not care for Disney and I do not intend to embroider anything, certainly not mouse ears. I cannot even imagine how I would use all of the programmed stitches. But I love the way this machine threads itself, cuts its own thread, sews a straight line, switches from one stitch to the other. I like the precision it offers, so that I can place my stitches with meticulous accuracy. In the past, sewing has invariably cost me peace and tranquility for the remains of the day, what with tension issues (both mine and its own) and horrible snarls on the undersides of things. But up in my cubby hole with the view of the lake and the Chugach mountains, on a table where the lighting is good, this machine has been sweetly responsive and even enthusiastic about my projects. As for me, I have finished my first quilt.
