Offering 48 stitch functions and loads of features for ease, simplicity, and flexibility, this heavy-duty machine sews all fabrics from multiple layers of denim to delicate silks and makes it possible for even novices to sew creatively. Features include a top drop-in bobbin that's easy-in, easy-out, and easy to see; a one-motion threading system with automatic tension; reverse sewing for locking seam ends and reinforcing stitches; adjustable stitch length and width; and adjustable needle position for attaching zippers and top stitching. Among the feet included is one for one-step automatic buttonholes; others are overlock, satin-stitch, blind hem, zipper, darning/embroidery, narrow rolled-hem, quilting, cording, gathering, zigzag, and walking (which equalizes the feeding of upper and lower layers of fabric and, among other things, improves matching of plaids and stripes). An accessory package including bobbins, needles, and a seam-ripper comes along, also, as does a hard carrying case. Ruggedly built, the machine has a sewing light, a built-in carry handle, and a slide-out sewing table (which stores accessories) for free-arm sewing. Among the 48 stitch functions the machine provides are heirloom, decorative, utility, and stretch stitches. An illustrated instruction booklet is included.
