FABULOUS BOOK FOR MAKING DOLL CLOTHING WITHOUT TROUBLE

I would have absolutely loved this book when I was a kid -- the costumes are fantastic and easy to make. And you end up with Barbie costumes that aren't just like everybody else's. My daughter really likes this. Because the clothes are designed to make with glue, she can make them on her own too. A great book for mom and daughter!!
Good idea, but....

This book has some good ideas, but would have liked to have seen more complex outfits with sleeves, also some patterns for slacks, shorts, swimsuits, would have been nice. If you don't have time to sew this is a good book, but if you do, then don't waste your money on this.
Big Disappointment

My granddaughter has dozens of Barbie dolls and I wanted to learn how to make clothes for them. I wanted to make outfits I could be proud of but when I got this book through one of my craft clubs, I was so disappointed. What I saw in this book looked cheap and I decided very quickly not to waste my time.

THESE MAY BE GOOD CLOTHES TO MAKE FOR BEGINNERS OR KIDS DRESSING DOLLS FOR THE FIRST TIME, BUT THE TITLE IS DECEPTIVE FOR PROFESSIONAL SEWERS LIKE ME. IF YOU'VE NEVER SEWED, BUT WANT TO DRESS YOUR CHILD'S FASHION DOLL, THIS IS THE BOOK FOR YOU.
