Customer Review
Fabulous book to inspire teen sewer or to repurpose old concert tees
by Customer A2NFDSEWDON69D at March 31st, 2007
This book would be perfect for a teen or tween interested in sewing or clothing design. It offers inexpensive ideas for them to reconstruct t-shirts in more than 100 ways. Adults will also find inspiration from the projects, but most like will find fewer for themselves as their age goes up.
There is a short intro on equipement and stitches, but the majority of the book is packed with the projects, each with an actual photo and a drawn depiction. Projects require next to no equipement (scissors, chalk, ruler, pins, needle, and thread) and are rated and presented simply across two pages (only a couple are longer). An "ingredients" list is provided for each and step-by-step instructions with drawings break down everything thoroughly.
Most projects are remodifications for tops and skirts, but there are other adornments and household items (I am trying a tote and a yoga-mat bag). The book offers factoids and anecdotes about t-shirts throughout.
