I checked it out of the library, but now I'm buying it so that I'll always have it nearby to refer to. I own "Sew Everything Workshop" and "Bend the Rules Sewing" both of which are invaluable to the beginning sewer and user friendly, but "High Fashion Sewing Secrets" is far superior. EVERYTHING is in here. If you're buying a complete beginner book, I suggest "Bend the Rules", but if you've sewn even a pillow or curtain, buy "High Fashion Secrets".
