Refurbished or new?

I am sure this is a fine machine, but unfortunately I did not receive a new but a used machine with yellowish discolorations and dirty spots on the panel, thread on the bobbin and the cover of the bobbin case was not functioning properly. I promptly returned the unit and got a refund. While Singer is selling this model also refurbished this was supposed to be a new machine.
