My 1st shipment of this sewing machine had a broken part. Then when I received my replacement one, the machine was worse. It was making a grinding noise. I like Singer sewing machines but this model is defective. Do not buy- you will regret it..

This machine was broken when received and I can see why. They make the parts out of plastic! How easily they break apparently. If you want a cheaply made machine, buy this one. I sent mine back.

I got this 2 months ago for my birthday and love it! It was even easy for a boy with no sewing experience to get goin in no time. I didn't even have to watch the included VHS tape.
