Book focuses on machine embroidery, very few hand embroidery projects

I had picked this book up in Michael's one day near the embroidery and floss section, and jotted it down to pick up later. Now that I've finally bought it and gone through it, I'm very disappointed. When I picked up the book originally, I thought to myself, "Ok, so this will have a lot of short embroidery projects - a fast turnaround with cute results!" While this is true for most projects in this book, I'm not entirely sure if it could all be considered embroidery. There is a good amount of applique work, quilting, and a lot of "adding flair to boring things" (napkins, tablecloths, purses, etc) - with machine embroidery/sewing.

I was really hoping to find a good half of the projects to be hand-embroidery, but there are really only 4 patterns (out of 20 total!) that you can and must use hand embroidery on. For Ms. Emerson, whenever she can use machine embroidery, she does. I guess if you are persistent enough and want to do all of the machine embroidery things by hand, you could, but then that also defeats the purpose of this book being called "The Impatient Embroiderer."

All in all, I wish I had read the fine print better.
